axabiomass®

axabiomass® is our freeze-dried astaxanthin-rich biomass derived from red aplanospores of H. pluvialis, cultivated in our patented vertical panel bioreactors in Belgium. 

This biomass powder preserves the complete nutritional matrix of the microalga, including natural astaxanthin esters, lipids, carbohydrates, and proteins in their native cellular environment. 

Unlike extracted oleoresins, axabiomass® offers a clean-label solution for formulations requiring natural, minimally processed ingredients. 

The freeze-drying process ensures superior astaxanthin stability, delivering consistent potency and extended shelf life.

Packaging

The product may be stored for 12 months in the unopened original aluminum bag at a temperature below or equal to 16°C with relative humidity below 65%. 

Short-term exposure to higher temperatures (due to transport) does not affect the product. The best before date is printed on the label. 

Once opened, maintain cool and avoid exposure to light. 

Use preferentially within 2 days after opening or repackage free of oxygen and light to keep the initial best before date.
