What is Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin has a unique molecular structure among the carotenoids with dual hydroxyl and keto moieties which enables the molecule to straddle the bilayer membrane and brdige electrons from the inside to the outer side of the cell as well as quenching any lipid oxidation on the membrane surface.

Microencapsulated natural astaxanthin for enhanced stability in water-based formulations

axafine® CWD is a Cold Water Dispersable powder of natural astaxanthin extract from Haematococcus pluvialis, cultivated in our patented bioreactors, here in Belgium.

It offers a versatile solution for integrating astaxanthin into various products. Concentration of pure and natural astaxanthin in our CWD varies between 2,5% and 5%.
